Hamburger Theology

I will never forget the time I went to McDonald's with some of my college friends to buy hamburgers - lots and lots of hamburgers!  Why?  Because they were on sale for only .25 cents!  WOW!  What a steal.  What a deal.  So instead of buying “2” hamburgers (like I normally do) I felt the urge to buy 12!  Needless to say, I ended up giving most of them away.

And the point to this stroll down memory lane: When we find ourselves driven by an urge for MORE of what we do NOT need (more to eat - more to wear - more to entertain - more to distract ) the more we surrender to that inner urge within for more of what we do not need - the more we lose a little bit more of what helps us be more rich toward God.
