Joy of Today

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord
I will be joyful in God

Happiness is not dependent on our circumstances.  It has been said that some of the world’s most discontent people are those with the most.  That those who reach the top of the ladder career-wise are often surprised to find emptiness awaiting them (watch - Citizen Kane - the greatest film ever made according to film critics - as Roger Ebert once said, "So it's settled: Citizen Kane is the official greatest film of all time.”)

If you place problem-solving, fixing your circumstances, striving to succeed above the goal of being with God, you will miss out on the joy of daily living.  True joy is a by-product of living in God’s presence (anywhere you live, palace or prison).
