Yoke

“Take my yoke upon you…”  Jesus said.

Jesus' promise is not that we shall have a good vacation with him; that we will be able to get away from it all; that he will be our great escape, BUT RATHER, he will refresh our souls when we come into his presence; that when we go forth with him by our side (out into the world again) he will replace the burdens that destroy and exhaust us with a burden (a yoke) that will be more satisfying and much easier to carry.
